Art Club
Art Club is an after school club that meets once a month. It is a great opportunity for all students 6th-8th grade to exchange creative ideas, create works of art, learn new techniques, and meet friends with similar interests! This is a great place to explore your personal interests in art and get some hands on experience with art tools and materials if you are not in an art class or if you just want more art in your life! Builder's Club

BPA (Business Professionals of America)
Our mission at Business Professionals of America is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and change the world by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth and service. JMS BPA focuses on professional growth in leadership, community involvement and skill set advancement. Our students compete at the local, state and national level in various competitions from speeches and web design to excel spreadsheeting and video production. JMS BPA students travel to the national leadership conference in May of odd numbered years. Campaigners and Doughnuts
Every other Thursday, Young Life invites any 6th-8th grader to come and enjoy doughnuts and a bible study before class. Campaigners is fun time to make new friendships, deepen your faith, and meet senior mentors. Contact Mr. Matt Pryor for more information
Choir/Performing Arts
We sing, we act, we perform, and we work as a team. We have at least 2 concerts a year plus a full-fledged musical. Performing Arts is open to all JMS students. We also work on stage presence, team building, confidence, and singing alone and with others. Contact Mrs. Heberer
Concessions
Represent Jasper Middle School in the community by volunteering time in the concession stands. Improve your interpersonal skills while having fun with your friends and helping out your school community. Contact Mr. Ben Mundy for more information
Destination Imagination
FACS Club
FACS Club is an extracurricular club open to all JMS students in 7th or 8th grade. FACS Club is a place to get creative with food, sewing, and other craft projects! Lots of fun is had doing different hands-on activities every month. This club also helps to put on the JMS Creative Arts Night Baking Contest and Reception. Monthly meetings are held after school. Junior Optimist
Once a month students volunteer their time to guide special needs students in our community. Activities include bowling, craft making, Easter egg hunt, pumpkin decorating, a visit from Santa Claus, making pottery, swimming, and many more. Makerspace
Makerspace is a S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) club that meets during homerooms to explore hands-on projects including Ozobots, Makey-Makey, Keva planks, 3D pens, and much more. Contact Mrs. Kari Schaefer
Save the Sea Turtles
Save the Sea Turtles Club is an environmental organization. This club is open to all students. Our goal is to encourage and enable students and teachers to recycle and reduce waste. This club helps to raise awareness around our school of the dangers of pollution. Save the Sea Turtles Club meets weekly during homeroom. They create educational posters, displays, and videos to be shared school-wide, as well as manages several of our school's recycling programs.
Spelling and Geography Bee
Spell Bowl Team
Team-up with other Jasper Middle School students to study various words and word origins to go into a spelling battle against local schools. Perform well enough, and your team can add to the many state championships that Jasper Middle School has already won! Contact Mrs. Shannon Gentry for more information.
Student Council
Student council is a way for students to give back to their school and community. Students get the chance to plan pep sessions, be a part of 6th grade orientation and help with other activities throughout the school. Students also get to help raise money for local charities. Contact Mrs. Guth
Study Tables
Stay after school, enjoy a snack, and work on your homework with the help of teachers from different subject areas. There is no cost but going home with all of the homework completed is invaluable. Contact Mrs. Michaela Eckerle for more information.
Tech Help Desk
As a one-to-one school, students will undoubtedly run into issues. Help your classmates by being the first stop in technology assistance. Members will be trained in basic computer management in an effort to help students solve their tech issues. Contact Mrs. Marci Showalter for more information.
Writer's Circle
The Writers’ Circle at JMS is a student community joined by the love and appreciation of writing. Whether students love to write and want to hone their craft, or simply want to gain inspiration by listening to the work of their peers, the Writers’ Circle is a safe place for students to come together to write - share - practice positive response - and simply help each other become better writers and communicators in a fun and respectful environment. Yearbook
Staff members work together throughout the year gathering information for the various clubs, organizations and sports. Members write articles, take pictures, and create spreadsheets to put a yearbook together for students to remember their years at Jasper Middle School.
